  Moment of silence for Oompa

  i can be very emotional about certain things and when i heard about oompa, even though i don't know him i was sometimes in tears about it, i will miss his posts, what i want to do for oompa is to have a moment of silence for him, i know i don't post on here much am more of a lurker but also i want everyone else to have a moment of silence also for our friend and also for all the others who have committed suicide because of the watchtowers policys..

  Yes. I sincerely regret ever suggesting that Just ROn and I study with the dubs. I regret not throwing the magazines directly into the trash when I found them in the door. I regret every single minute I wasted sitting in meetings and out in service. I regret everything I didn't do with my kids because it was forbidden by the borg - holidays, birthdays, all those events that are lost to us now. I regret every time I tried to make my kids sit still and pay attention at meetings, every time I was harsh with them because I was so stressed out trying to make them into the perfect little drones. I am one of the luckiest survivors, because there is no one still in that has any power over me or anyone I care about. My family is out and intact, but I still worry that somehow one of my kids will get sucked back in someday.

  Fb status of a Young JW Mom. Sooo Sick!

  can't believe that we made it through the whole assembly, **** wasn't feeling good last night, has a cold, was pretty cranky, then he seemed fine and minutes later im making a bowl with my hands for him to throw up in while we are sitting (the joys of parenthood) then into a plastic bag, then very quickly ran to the bathroom for even more throwing up, but suprisingly we stayed for the rest of the day.

  trying to think of a response.

  i am not "out" on fb soooo sick from this i wanna throw up myself...poor children!.

  I did some dumb stuff as a dub, I don't think any of us are totally innocent of that sort of thing. Obviously, normal people wouldn't drag a sick kid to a religious meeting, but the borg has a way of contorting one's thinking. I hope someday very soon she wakes up and gets free.

  Femine supplies advice help needed

  i'm divorced and i have a daughter who is nearly 11. last year she watched a video in school covering upcoming body changes (which she already knew about).

  but one suggestion they gave that i didn't think of was to go get femine supplies and be prepared for when the time comes.

  i like being prepared ahead of time for emergencies.

  I remember being terribly embarrassed about getting my period back when I was 12. Buy a small box of junior size tampons - I always preferred Tampax before I had kids, and get a box of thin regular pads and panty liners. Her flow may be pretty light at first, so she may need the liners more than the pads or tampons. Also, if she has any significant pain, take her to the doctor. For me, the only thing that worked was getting on the Pill. I missed at least one day of school every time I got my period, and I took so much Midol I probably nearly blew out my liver. The Pill fixed that 100%. If I had a daughter, I'd seriously consider the Depo shots or the implants - no period at all and no pain.

  Personally, whenever my kid starts barfing, we head home. I've had the joy of having two regular, occasional barfers and one who seemed to making a career of barfing on me in public. This woman needs her head examined.

  SAD news about OOMPA......

  our friend, oompa, has passed away.

  just recieved the news a couple of hours ago, and have almost no details.

  it happened today or yesterday, he took his own life.
